End Times Scenario

What is it about reading the Bible that is such a simple thing to do for some and such a struggle for others?

Is it merely a matter of social acceptance that a non-believer feels pressured to conform to a standard that says belief in God and reading the Bible is only for the weak-minded? Does that keep you from considering the truth about life as God makes available to you in His blueprint for successful living to stay at arms length away from the only reference work that won’t lie to you?

God is not dead!

God is relevant to your life, today!

Let me prove it to you: If God was distant from the lives of the people He wants to faithfully follow Him into eternity, then why would He go to the trouble of allowing His own precious Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die at all?

I know, you’ve heard that before.

But…

Did you know that the religious leaders of that day knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that God would reveal Himself to them on a specific day due to prophecy that was taught them to wait for expectantly by generations of family members before them? Jesus then held them accountable for their decision to scoff at Him as the promised Messiah that they had been waiting for when they chose instead to reject Him! (Luke 19:28-44)

Before you say that was contrived, let it be known that Cyrus and Artaxerxes were secular kings with no idea that they would issue decrees that would be involved in God’s timeline of events!

Similarly, while that happened about 2,000 years ago, another prophecy tells us that

God specifically told of the very day that the restoration of Israel would take place!

May 14, 1948.

How does that make you feel?

Or might that be better said: How does that grab you?

Do I have your attention now?

Do you consider God to be out-of-step with our modern day, technological advancements that seem to provide rational explanations for different matters? Does the fact that God’s Word which has always been proved true change that for you, in regards to that prophecy that has come true in a relatively recent timeframe?

God is not concerned with matters of everyday, secular lifestyles! God seeks those who will worship Him in spirit and truth! God seeks the humble, hates the proud; He seeks those who listen & obey, not for those who think they can work their own way into His heaven & sacrifice to please Him, based on their own terms.

If you don’t believe God predicted 1948 as a time for Israel’s restoration, that’s fine: die in your sins. But if there is at least some piece of you that leaves out there the consideration that spiritual truth is real, that God does mean what He says, that words matter, that Jesus actually did speak the truth, then consider this…

In Psalm 90:10 it is written by God that a generation is (equal to) “70 years, or 80 years with strength.”

If that’s true, then…

A “rapture” of the Christian body of believers worldwide would happen sometime before 2028 – and possibly before 2018!

(1948 + 70 years = 2018)

Jesus said that nobody knows the day or the hour except the Father, but He also said to be aware of the signs of the times. I also believe that  the church leaders of the 1800s were shortsighted when they were unable to recognize with foresight that God was about to do something significant, and that they should have been able to figure it out!

Think about it: If Mormonism was able to sell people on a belief that The Bible is filled with errors and that a restoration of God’s plan was being performed through them, why didn’t that get the attention of Bible scholars & church leaders in the 1830s? If Jehovah’s Witnesses came with preposterous predictions of prophecies being fulfilled imminently just a few decades later, – which kept getting revised throughout the 20th Century! – then why weren’t leaders of the true church seeking to discover what it was that was happening, in order to bring attention to God and His works instead of allowing people to be deceived into cults that would only lead the blind by the blind? Christian Science came along shortly thereafter with a concept that Mary Baker Eddy suggested could “unlock” the secrets of the Bible through her self-proclaimed authoritative writing: “Science & Health, with Key to The Scriptures.” The only problem is that she plagiarized much of it from Phineas Parkhurst Quimby! The church was asleep at the switch, instead of acting like watchmen over the flock entrusted to them by God, protecting them from lies, deceit, error…

I ask you, plainly, is the restoration of Israel, as predicted 2500 years ago, a good enough “sign” to get your attention?

It should be!

God is doing what He does according to His plan & purposes, regardless of whether we agree or disagree with Him or not! If we are confused by the rhetoric of secular leaders to believe a lie, that doesn’t negate the truth of God’s Word!

I know: You doubt what I have for you to consider has merit for you to bother wasting any more of your time: Am I right? If I provided you such evidence to back up this claim of a substantial prophecy, would you consider it? It’s clearly explained; it’s reasonable to consider – it’s in the link that follows! Save the PDF to your computer and read it later, if you don’t have time now.

Are you a person of faith, or not?

“The Lord is with you when you are with Him, and

if you seek Him then He will let you find Him;

but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you” (2 Chronicles 15:2).

“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ” – your ears are more important to your eternal destiny than your hands.

The prophecy is from Ezekiel 4 with some additional understanding from Leviticus 26.

Do you want to read it for yourself, or should I explain everything to you?

The highlights…

Israel’s 1st Captivity lasted 430 years, in Egypt – Moses led them out across The Red Sea away from Pharaoh into The Promised Land.

Israel was then brought into captivity again for 70 years – Babylonian Captivity during times of Nebuchadnezzar…

But an unfulfilled prophecy of Ezekiel 4 speaks of a worldwide captivity of 2520 years! That doesn’t fit into any other possible period of history when Israel was a nation, except for the period of time leading up to 1948.

Israel was able to come together again as a nation due to the actions of a secular society’s decision: Through the vehicle of The United Nations forming in October, 1945 due to atrocities in Germany upon Jewish people by Adolph Hitler, the world community stood against such matters as something that would be prevented from ever happening again…

Yes, it requires some computations to arrive at the right day; but, it is a rather starting rationale that I recommend you taking the time to consider. Read the article! Click on the word “article” you just previously glanced at…

I dare you to step out in faith and consider the possibility that something as simple as a person telling you “God loves you” is actually true.

There may not be much time left for you to come to a proper conclusion on this matter, especially if you have always been pressured to dismiss a belief in God by friends and teachers, – whom you trusted? – and to think of Christians as weak-minded so as to dismiss their warnings and admonitions as mere rhetoric and therefore irrelevant. Be cautious of whom you choose to trust: Why not trust God? He loves you. He left a #1 Best Seller at your disposal to read for yourself…

Eternity is a long time. Are you sure you want to make the wrong choice by not making a choice at all?

I would hate for you to make a drastic mistake by choosing to simply ignore another opportunity to spend a few minutes you might otherwise waste doing “Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. By the way, He is Lord and Savior of the world – whether people choose to follow Him or not. There is no other Name under heaven given but His alone by which any of us can be saved (Acts 4:10-12). Follow Jesus!

I encourage you to read the Bible for yourself. I suggest you start with The Gospel of John, but start wherever you like! Hopefully someday you, too, will be surprised just like everybody else that has ever come to Christ thinking: spiritual truth was right in front of my eyes this whole time! How did I never see it before? This prophecy of the restoration of Israel wasn’t figured out until Bible scholars had the benefit of hindsight! Our knowledge is far from perfect: and God does hold us accountable to His perfect standard of righteousness that none of us is able to adhere to.

“For the wages of sin is death but

the free gift of God is eternal life

in Christ Jesus our Lord”

(Romans 6:23).

May God’s truth come alive in you as you faithfully submit to Him leading you by the Holy Spirit into all truth. If you know Jesus, then the truth will set you free (John 8:31,32). Jewish people will someday see Jesus as their Messiah upon whom the wrath of God fell in order to pay for the sins of the world: the Bible tells us that they will look upon Him whom they had pierced (Zechariah 12:8-10) and know of the mistake they had made as a people group – but this will sadly only be a matter for the last generation of the Jewish race to be able to do as “the end is near,” The Great Tribulation is coming. Are you ready for it? I hope so. Grace & peace to you.
