SoCal Sports Are Still Fantastic! The Kings Are SoCal’s Most Successful Team This Year!

Maybe now that The Lakers season is over with, and The Los Angeles Kings have won The Stanley Cup, I can now start paying more close attention to The Dodgers! What’s wrong with me?

The Dodgers have the best record in baseball!

Yet, with Matt Kemp out of the lineup, and with my favorite player Andre Ethier lighting it up, I haven’t been able to get overly-energized to pay attention to them!

I used to be a baseball-aholic!

Have I really changed that much to where the NBA is king? The Kings are a joy & delight to all fans sports fans of SoCal: I’m not sure I get to be considered anything but a fairweather fan of hockey, though.

As far as baseball is concerned, yes, there are “issues” with Bud Selig that cause me to waver in my interest of what changes MLB has made to their product: Bud Selig once owned the Milwaukee brewers, and now that he is Commissioner, his former team which was moved to the American League creating an imbalance isn’t the team moving back to that league but instead it’s the Houston Astros? Yeah, whatever. Steroids: Bud Selig condoned it! Maybe that’s not “enough said” for most people, but it is for me. Pete Rose: “Charlie Hustle” should have been reinstated “in good favor” to be considered for entry into The Hall of Fame for what he did as a player! Whatever he may have done as a Coach/Manager is a different matter: What he did on the field as a player was remarkable, and it should be rememebered as such! Good gravy, he was a Cincinnati Reds “hero”! Do you really think I, as a Dodgers fan, am biased in anyway? No! Bud Selig is responsible for all that has happene on his watch: Period. He could choose to make right decisions; but, instead, he caves to pressures of media mockery, and hides blame in every corner except where it belongs – in front of his own nose!

Go, Dodgers!

My Lakers Recap to 2012 NBA Season

The Kobe Klock

I was not prepared for The Los Angeles Lakers season to end so early. Were you? In fairness, I used early, not suddenly, because The Oklahoma City Thunder look like the real deal as they now go up against The San Antonio Spurs to see who will represent The Western Conference vs. the NBA’s weaker East Conference teams! Maybe that’s not fair: Maybe The Miami Heat with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade & The Boston Celtics with Paul Pierce & Company deserve to be respected by me in a more appropriate way. My team is out! What do you expect? But The NBA is still fantastic! The Celtics with a 3-2 series advantage bowed out to the Miami Heat who were then manhandled themselves in the 1st Game of the NBA Finals by The Thunder! Go, OKC! The Thunder shot horribly from 3-pt range, which tells me that their margins of victory will expand instead of a 105-94 final like last night from a 1-pt advantage to start the 4th period. But, it’s the NBA: What can I say? Anything is possible! Anything…

Since the Oklahoma City beat The Lakers in Round #2, maybe I should be saying: Go, Thunder! idk

If OKC does get crowned champs, can I argue successfully that The Lakers are the 2nd best team in the NBA?

OKC was losing early, Game 1 tonight vs. Miami Heat, but pulled out a victory with some 2nd Half heroics!

Jimmy Johnson Hendricks Motor Sports Jeff Gordon

JJ Won @ Dover; 5th @ Pocono

Jimmy Johnson came from a lap down plus 2 pit row speeding penalties to move up from a re-start with 8 laps to go and nearly passed Tony Stewart for a 3rd place finish! Young Joey Logano ruined Mark Martin’s shot at a win late, and it was an exciting finish! NASCAR at its finest!

Points Leaders

1) Matt Kenseth, 2) Dale Earnhardt, Jr., 3) Greg Biffle 4) Denny Hamlin, 5)Jimmy Johnson
