It’s going to be a return to Showtime now, for sure! Bye-bye, Mike Brown: Welcome, Mike d’Antoni!

The Lakers played a nice, fast-paced game tonight, in the win over The Phoenix Suns! Too bad Mike d’Antoni wasn’t ready yet to take control of the team – still recovering from knee surgery. It’s time for Lakers fans everywhere to rejoice in the entertainment value Jerry Buss so desperately seeks to provide us one last time!

The Lakers appeared to be a playoff contender to begin this season. And so, all eyes turned in hopes of a grand & glorious season, toward a Lakers team that then proceeded only to lose game after game after game. The possibility of Phil Jackson returning a third time to coach this Lakers squad was highly-anticipated, after the quick firing of Mike Brown – I’m sure he was stunned as much as most Lakers fans that he didn’t get his old job back. But the organization seemed to desire to distance themselves from any past connection to a “Triangle Offense” even before Mike Brown was hired 11 months ago to start last year’s lockout-shortened season. Apparently they were willing to stick with that decision, and I know “we the fans” are hopeful they made the right decision! But, how do you ever explain saying “No” to hiring Phil Jackson and win an argument?

The Lakers will proceed with Mike d’Antoni at the helm, as head coach of a more-talented group of NBA stars than he has ever had to work with before – and, he will be reunited with Steve Nash in the process! Gotta love it! I’m excited, aren’t you? Dwight Howard is teamed up with Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash with Pau Gasol and Mett World Peace? I’ve got to be dreaming! Jordan Hill being able to consistently contribute off the bench has been a welcome addition to the roster, last year and this year. Darius Morris is playing better, Chris Duhon is familiar with d’Antoni’s schemd, playing under him with The New York Knicks last year. This season should be great!

The Los Angeles Lakers!

Let’s go, Lakers, let’s go!

Dwight Howard is the starting Center of The Los Angeles Lakers! Mike Brown is now a former Head Coach for Los Angeles, after starting the season 1-4. See my “blog” or “tweets” for more information. Tonight: Lakers 114, Suns 102.

Yes, the NBA is still fan-tastic! It is for Lakers fans, at least! Go, Lakers!

I started to “blog“, in my old age, as a lifelong Lakers fan, after I wrote a pro- Andrew Bynum piece on March 21, 2012. I wish him luck, now able to play closer to home, for The Philadelphia 76ers! However, he is apparently enduring complications with a follow-up to knee procedures he has had done in recent years over in Germany.

C’mon, Dwight Howard, sign a contract with us!

Welcome to “21st Century Showtime,” a Los Angeles Lakers brand of NBA basketball!

Let’s get a new “dynasty” started!
